Scholarships & Educational Funds
There are several sources for scholarships and educational funds available for eligible students who are members of a cooperating church of the Baptist General Association of Virginia (BGAV) through different ministry partners. | Through the vision and stewardship of faithful Virginia Baptists, the Baptist General Association of Virginia has offered scholarships to deserving recipients for many years. Through Cooperative Missions dollars of Virginia Baptists around the state, students are able to receive scholarships to assist in their education. Three separate funds are offered through the Baptist General Association of Virginia: BGAV Achievement Scholarships, BGAV Ministerial Educational Funds, and BGAV Nontraditional Ministry Education Scholarships. |

| The Virginia Baptist Foundation Scholarship Program has been able to offer scholarships each year to a variety of deserving Virginia Baptist young people because of the generous stewardship of many Virginia Baptists. Some of the funds are restricted to provide scholarships for students who are pursuing specific fields of study, from certain areas of the state, and for attending certain colleges, universities, or seminaries. Other funds are available to award at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee of the Virginia Baptist Foundation. |

| Woman’s Missionary Union of Virginia Scholarships are made possible by the Alma Hunt Offering for Virginia Missions, income derived from interest earned on investments, and designated gifts. Acteens Scholarships are offered by Baptist colleges and universities in Virginia. A wide variety of camp and academic scholarships are available. |

| The Heritage Fellows program is a program to identify and equip emerging leaders among Virginia Baptist collegiates. The Heritage Fellows program is designed to give students a better understanding and appreciation of Baptist heritage and of the relationship between Baptist heritage and the contemporary scene in Baptist life. |
| Charles B. Keesee Educational Fund, Inc. |
| The Charles B. Keesee Educational Fund, Inc., was established in 1941 by Mr. and Mrs. Charles B. Keesee of Martinsville, Virginia, for the purpose of aiding worthy young men and women to obtain an education. The Fund is administered by a Board of Trustees who considers requests for aid and determines applicant’s eligibility. |
