am·bas·sa·dor (noun): 1. an authorized 
representative. 2. one appointed on a
temporary or special mission.

Kingdom Advance Ambassadors are individuals who serve in an on-going specialty role in a partnering mission field or local setting. Terms of service are usually longer than two years.

Ambassadors represent Virginia Baptists in strategic ministries to people who are not typically reached by most Virginia Baptist churches.

The following Ambassadors are currently representing Virginia Baptists:

  • Emile Sam-Peal – Liberia
    partnering with the Liberian Baptist Mission and Education Society
  • Ralph and Tammy Stocks – Romany Gypsies
    partnering with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship
  • Lynn Yarbrough – China
    partnering with the China Christian Council
  • Johnny Almond – Military Ministries
    partnering with local churches
  • Daniel Carro – Latino Ministries
    partnering with the Latino Network
  • Faysal Sharif – Muslim Ministries
    partnering with People of the Book Ministry
  • Greg and Sue Smith – Latino Ministries
    partnering with LUCHA Ministries, Inc.
  • J. Murphy and Linda Terry – Impact Northeast
    partnering with Baptist conventions in the Northeastern U.S.

Pray for our Ambassadors and the
people to whom they minister.
Send Ambassadors notes and letters to encourage them in their ministries.
Serve with an Ambassador through Responder and Servant ministry opportunities.

Pray and give money for expanding our Kingdom Advance Ambassador ministries into potential new mission areas, such as:

  • outreach and evangelism with particular ethnic groups
  • individuals and families experiencing un- or underemployment
  • Virginia’s areas of tourism and resorts
  • needs of our inner cities
  • future international partnerships
