An urban-centered mission opportunity that will focus on community service as well as the issues and culture of those living in metropolitan areas. The experience will combine biblical study, cultural understanding, and hands-on ministry projects within the urban community. Because students need mission expressions that reach beyond construction alone, projects for this event will include working with a food pantry, homeless shelters, after-school clubs, refugee centers, and other ministries that seek to meet the needs of those living in the urban communities. Participants will not only be involved in hands-on service, but also will spend concentrated time each day studying the Bible and the culture that they are attempting to reach. Worship and small groups will also be a highlight and focus of this experience.
