3:30 p.m. and concludes by noon Tuesday.

*Fee includes program fee, Monday evening banquet, and a snack break on Tuesday. Each group is responsible for its own lodging and music.

You may attend as a Senior Adult Choir, Senior Adult Ensemble, or as an individual. We’d like for those attending to share a song or two with the entire conference—but it’s not required! We’ll learn some new songs together in a mass choir setting and have a wonderful time of fellowship, praise, and inspiration.

Lyndel Vaught
Associate Professor of Church Music,
SouthwestLyndel Vaughtern Baptist Theological Seminary

Dr. Lyndel Vaught is Associate Professor of Church Music at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. His diverse interests include the history of worship from its biblical origins to the present day, the use of music with senior adults, and Native American history. His book, Senior Adult Choir Ministry - Age Is No Excuse, is the only book currently in print that deals exclusively with the use of music with older adults. He is the author of more than 90 articles covering such subjects as church music administration, church music education, worship, and the aging voice.

Dr. Vaught frequently serves as worship leader and soloist for senior adult conferences across the United States. Serving in various musical capacities, Dr. Vaught has traveled to Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Mexico, Brazil, Russia, Ukraine, Israel, Jordan, Ireland, and England. As a member of the officer corps of the United States Navy, he was a Vietnamese (Hanoi dialect) linguist and finished his military career attached to the White House.

He and his wife Janet (who will serve as his accompanist) have three children and are currently on a sabbatical and working with Native Americans in Arizona, New Mexico, and South Dakota.
