Impact! Mission Camps

Impact! is now the “umbrella” program name of a variety of youth mission camps offered by the Virginia Baptist Mission Board. 

Help Us Make an Impact! - Sponsor a Home Today

Help students across Virginia change someone’s life this summer.  Impact Virginia! is a construction mission camp for students designed to guide them in living out their faith in a very tangible manner as well as to bring help to families in need across the Commonwealth.  Students pay their own way and the Virginia Baptist Mission Board provides leadership and funding for staff, but funding to pay for building materials and supplies is always a challenge.  Sponsor a home today and give a family a warmer, safer and drier home this year.

• New roof - $28 per bundle of shingles = $1,750 for one roof
• Handicap Ramp - $15 per board = $2,000 for 20’ ramp
• New paint - $20 per gallon = $460 for new exterior paint on home
• New windows - $60 per window = $720 for a complete home

How Impact! Works

While each Impact! project has its own unique flavor, there are a few similarities with all of our programs:

• Multi-church statewide event ranging from 100–300 participants

• Designed for teenage students who have completed one of the grades 7th–12th. There are possibilities for students entering the 7th grade or who are attending college to attend.

• A "turn-key" event meaning that most of the infrastructure is provided for you.  Housing, meals, projects, worship, logistics, etc. are provided by our office.  You simply need to pay a modest fee and bring your group.

• Usually 1 week in length with an international project lasting a few days longer and a partial week project.

• Hands-on component balanced with corporate worship

Description of Impact! Mission Camps

Impact NOW! are project developed as needed to help support relief and recovery efforts resulting from natural disasters.

Impact Virginia! is our “classic” one week construction mission opportunity for teenagers.  The projects will have between 250 and 300 participants and will focus on home repair and renovation.

Impact Metro! is an urban-centered mission opportunity that will focus on community service as well as the issues and culture of those living in metropolitan areas.

Impact International! is a large group mission opportunity that works with our international partners across the globe.
