As we enter into a new decade, come and participate in this epic story of God’s work through Fresh Expressions and receive practical training on how it can impact your church and community as we rally around this year’s theme, "The Good News: Every Person. Every Place. Every Church."
We plan to put Virginia Baptists on a path with a movement of Kingdom proportions by playing host to the inaugural Fresh Expressions National Gathering at First Baptist Church of Alexandria!

Embracing Creative Concepts of Church
Fresh Expressions is a movement born of a partnership between the BGAV and Fresh Expressions UK, in addition to a growing list of faith kin and affinity partners with shared missions-and-freedom callings. God is providing Virginia Baptists with a window of opportunity to take a lead role in this movement throughout Virginia and the surrounding states, supporting and joining this movement that we hope will eventually spread across the entire United States.
The world is changing rapidly, and this is good news for Virginia Baptists! But how do Virginia Baptists learn to engage a world undergoing constant and accelerating change, while remaining faithful to their traditions and beliefs?
Fresh Expressions is a movement that empowers and equips God’s people to reach the increasing diversity of our society by developing creative expressions of church alongside existing congregations.
