Disaster Relief is a mission effort of the Glocal Missions Team in which Virginia Baptists work to provide relief to those who find themselves victims of disasters in Virginia, the U.S., and around the world.
We work in partnership with the American Red Cross, The Salvation Army, Baptist conventions, agencies and other national and international partners to bring relief and hope to those in need.
We welcome the help of those called to serve in this ministry using their gifts and skills.
May Tornadoes Response
Virginia Baptist Disaster Response has placed all of its volunteers on ALERT as we await news and needs from the tornados both in Texas and Oklahoma. We have not been asked to respond at this point. No material items are needed at this time; however, cash donations are always helpful and will be used to assist those affected by these disasters.
Please follow any updates on our Facebook page. If we are asked to respond we will contact the appropriate volunteers and provide updates as often as possible. Your prayers are coveted by the victims and responders who have been affected by these devastating events.
