Disaster Relief Efforts for Haitian Earthquake

Virginia Baptists are lifting up prayers for our brothers and sisters in Haiti who have suffered such a horrific tragedy following the 7.0 magnitude earthquake that devastated the small island nation yesterday.  As the hours unfold more and more details emerge and the news is grim.  We encourage you to take some time today and determine how you might respond to the needs of our neighbor.  We can all take some time to pray but you may also want to consider making a financial contribution or being available to volunteer should teams be requested.

Leaders of the Virginia Baptist Disaster Relief Ministry are currently assessing the situation. Along with many of our partners both here and in the Caribbean region we will determine the best avenue for us to bring aid to the Haitian people.
