Kingdom Vision
A Message from John
Upton

Valuing our
Differences
I
think there is an important question that needs to be addressed in church
life today. It's an uncomfortable question, but one that forces itself on
us whether we like it or not: Do people with strong differing commitments
and styles need each other for balance and completion?

This Month in Our History...with Fred
Anderson
It was in May two centuries ago, in 1806, that James
Ireland died in Berryville, Virginia. He was one of the chief fathers
in Israel among the early Virginia Baptists. His name is forever
associated with the struggle to secure religious liberty, and he especially
is remembered in history because of his heroic stand during his
imprisonment in Culpeper.

If you visited all of the
missions and ministries around the world that are funded in part by
Virginia Baptist Cooperative Missions gifts, you'd earn a lot of
frequent flier miles. And when you returned from more than 20 countries
on five continents, you'd have more than just a bad case of jet lag.
You'd have a suitcase full of memories of how Virginia Baptists and our
ministry partners are carrying God's love and the Gospel of Jesus
Christ around the world.
When
we've been cleared for take off on mission, we can go to the ends of
the earth through the combined giving power of over 1,400 Baptist
General Association of Virginia Churches to Cooperative Missions.
