Kingdom Vision

A Place at the
Table
It
was to be a quick visit just before lunch with a homebound church member
named Mrs. Hannah. As I sat in a rose-colored armchair, Mrs. Hannah
announced, "You'll be staying for lunch." I listed all the
things I had to do, trying to excuse myself, but she insisted, "You
are too busy. Everyone has to eat. I'll get the table ready." That
was that.

This Month in Our History...with Fred
Anderson
It is traditional to make New Year's resolutions. The
making is easy. The keeping is problematic. In 1830 James B. Taylor, a
prominent Virginia Baptist minister, penned a series of resolutions in
his personal diary. At the time he was pastor of the Second Baptist
Church of Richmond.

As we enter a new year, Virginia Baptists are resolute in
the mission and ministries that advance the Redeemer's Kingdom wherever
the road leads.
We move forward together down roads that take us to people who are in
need of Christ within our own Commonwealth or on roads that are half a
world away. Whether paved or dirt, gravel or uncharted, the roads that
Virginia Baptists travel can win the world for Christ.
And it all gets accomplished through the combined giving power
of 1,400 BGAV churches to Cooperative Missions.
Join us this year as we hit the road together!
