Does your faith excite you to the point that you want to get up and dance? Then get ready to join hundreds—maybe thousands—of Virginia Baptists for a time of celebrating how the power of Christ’s resurrection brings believers from all walks of life together.
You are probably aware of the “flash mob” phenomenon around the world, where people connect with each other for the purpose of sharing a common song or dance in a public place at a random time.
For the first time ever, Virginia Baptists will come together in a similar way—showing unity and cooperation through a dance of celebration.
How We're Going to Do the Dance
This incredible event will happen in two stages:
- Groups of people across Virginia (people of all ages, races, and from different geographical areas) will do the dance at a time of their choosing, and each group will submit a video of their dance so it can be shown at the BGAV Annual Meeting in November
- BGAV attendees and Richmond-area participants will do the dance in a public arena during the BGAV Annual Meeting, while the videos from different groups around the state are shown simultaneously
To Make this
Happen, We Need You!
As you'll see, the dance is simple and easy to learn, regardless of your dancing ability.
Share Your Experience!
Post your plans to our Facebook page telling everyone where you plan to film your dance, which groups in your church are most engaged, and how you helped them learn to do the dance!
