Ben works with Fresh Expressions US Team which is helping to cultivate new forms of Christian community to reach unchurched individuals who may be outside the traditional church's outreach perimeter. He is particularly passionate about renewal within traditional churches through discipleship. As Coordinator of Training, Ben is available to equip individuals, churches and local associations for creative evangelistic and mission engagement in their communities.

Prior to his work with the VBMB, Ben served as a pastor, college minister and military cadet chaplain. He currently resides in Richmond with his wife, Stephanie, and their two children.
